My future job

When i was in high school i imagined my future like a craftswoman,
professor of philosophy, anthropologist or musician, I don’t know why but i didn’t choose any of these ways. I studied law one year, because i wanted to work in a organization called “Defensoría Popular”, but law wasn’t for me.

I was not willing to stop making music that is my passion. Then I enter
then enter a career in journalism and now i have a lot of time for music.
I have a lot of ideas for my future work. I have never planned my future very much, because i think the options appear at the right moment.

I would like to work in investigation area, linking social, ethnographic, political and environmental studies whit the communications and from this works make documentaries. This type of work is performed both outdoors and indoors, on one hand this work in the field and on the other desk research. I would like to work on this whit friends from different areas of study.
I would also like to have a workshop where i could work with ceramic, looms, woodcut, and all kinds of arts and crafts, the space could function as a cafeteria, bar and shop, for this would have to save a few years working as a journalist. I refuse to work in media such as television and newspapers, I hope to work on projects that are of my interest.

Leoncito arrived at my home seven years ago. One day my mother called me and said “Cami, the female dog of a friend of mine had puppies and she doesn’t have enough space, would you like to see them? I jumped of joy and instantly said yes to my mom.  We went to the house of my mother´s friend. In the backyard were like eigth white puppies, all very friendly, but one of them had shortest legs of all, and he look like a teddy dog.  My mom and I exchange glances of complicity, he was the one.Mostrando IMG-20160331-WA0002.jpeg

My sister named him León because he is the opposite of wildness. I have never known such a happy dog.  When he was little, he piss himself of the exciting of seeing us arriving home from school or work.  He loses his head when arrive people at home and persecutes them asking for affection.

Educate him was difficult, he is now an adult dog and still don’t know where to pee and defecate, My family and I try different strategies but we couldn’t teach him, we think he´s a little fool and  crazy, but  we love him and  hope that someday he will understand.

A trip to Cuba.

I would like to go to Cuba because i love salsa and all the afro rhythms in general. I would like to learn of the history of that music and also how to dance the different kinds of it. Hopefully i´ll play some afro Cuban music with the musicians who know en the way.

I would like to study in the documentary school that is one of the best of the world and specialized in latinoamerican narratives. I would to travel with my sister because a trip to Cuba I one of the many plans that we have. We would stay for six months working, studying and knowing places.

Friends of my sister traveled there tree years ago and they recommended us Cuba because the people are happy and friendly, although the political problems that produce to live in a socialist government in a capitalist context. About these theme I would like to know more of the real social situation  sharing with the Cubans and different social organizations.
